The Artist behind Swell The Chorus

Hi there,

My name is Amruta Chimote. I am the artist behind Swell The Chorus. I am a freelance illustrator presently living in Toronto. I love philosophy, literature, vintage jazz, and everything cats and these are the subjects that provide essential inspiration for my art. I absolutely love doodling away on Procreate as much as I love getting messy with gouache and oil pastels.

I specialise in surface-pattern design and greeting cards. I enjoy using bold colours and quirky motifs to produce cohesive and visually pleasing artwork. My illustration portfolio is the labour of my love and features a generous range of playful designs. I am quite flexible in aligning my style of work with that of my collaborators, which makes me a breeze to work with.
